Moorpark is a small community conveniently located in the southeastern part of Ventura County, just 50 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Moorpark is recognized for being one of the safest cities of its size in the United States. Moorpark is home to over 17 parks, blue-ribbon distinguished schools, and its own community college that is ranked as one of the nation’s top community colleges. The Arroyo Vista Recreation Center hosts several sports organizations, summer camps, and community outreach programs, as well as the popular Third of July Fireworks show. Commuters can enjoy a short train ride to both Los Angeles and Santa Barbara from Moorpark’s train station. A few favorite spots among residents in Moorpark are the Underwood Family Farms, Tierra Rejada Ranch, and the Moorpark Country Club & Golf Course.
